ABOUT ME
GREETINGS!
WHERE I COME FROM
I moved to Farmers Branch in 1989, after previously living in Arkansas and attending The University of Arkansas at Little Rock and since day one, it has felt like home. I raised my family here, became involved with the community in various positions and methods. I now have the opportunity to continue my civic service to this community that has given so much to me and my family.
A THRIVING CAREER
It has been my distinct honor and privilege to serve the residents, businesses, and visitors in Farmers Branch as the City Councilmember for District #5. The opportunities to promote, advance, and develop our community have been truly exciting and meaningful. The ability to position our community to be successful and provide the level of municipal service expected both today and in the future is the work that I truly enjoy.
I previously had the pleasure to have served on the Parks and Recreation Board for five years and also on The City Bond Committee, The Community School Board Relations Committee, and I also served as the Chair of the City Planning and Zoning Commission during my service on that committee between 1990 and 2006.
I recently retired from my position as a Senior Systems Analyst for the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas, where I had a number of positions, roles, and challenging assignments in my 35 1/2 years of employment there. I am confident that my years of experience in project management, process analytics, and data management have and will continue to assist with my position and responsibilities on the City Council.
I believe that being a member of the City Council requires the ability to listen to different perspectives, to review and interpret quality information and data, to ask challenging and relevant questions, while ensuring that all possible outcomes and risks for any potential and/or considerations are fully vetted.
FAMILY AND FAITH
I have three adult daughters and I am married to my wife of 21 years, Dana. We attend Christ United Methodist Church here in Farmers Branch, where I have been privileged to volunteer and lead many Summer Youth Mission Trips.
